How Marketing Aroused Me

I came Canada in 2014, and entered the math program in University of Waterloo. I met a lot of Chinese students there. As a matter of fact, I don't really enjoy learning math. I came here because my parents thought this would be the best choice for me. Chinese parents really care about the rank of a school, and they believe firmly that the program I study in the University would directly lead to my future career. It might be strange for people in western countries to understand, but the truth is at least 80% Chinese parents have the same thoughts.

I like to make friends since I was very young.I enjoy communicating with different people, it could be one of my talents. I think the key to success is to locate oneself for the first. You should clearly know what you are interested in, what you are fit for, and what you are good at. You would never learn these three 'Whats' from any textbook, but from practical experience in our daily life. I use 3 years to know myself, but it is worthy. Someone might never recognize this, as most of our lives are already comprehensively planned by our parents.

In the fields of marketing, the basic communication skill is required to a marketer, since good communication could lay a solid foundation for business or trade. Creativity is also significant, as when we make a deal with our partner, as a marketer we should be responsible for the promotion of our products. Marketing is close to life. I always come up with numbers of ideas of promotions for different situations .However, I even could not complete any documents for my thought at the first. Then, I realized that is what I need to learn. The lectures are helpful. Now I know to start a plan project, we should locate the target markets for the first, whom the products or services we provide for.

In a word, I am grateful since I think I make a correct decision for choose this program. I am looking forward to later classes and  what I could create after I finished my courses in the college.
